Pamoja is a US-based organization that works to provide learning opportunities for international students through building partnerships with US-based schools and US-based youth organizations. It works in Haiti, Rwanda, and Uganda. Through our collaboration with Pamoja in 2022, we aimed to support fifty (50) girls in five (5) high schools with school fees, skills training, and other school-related support to enable them to stay in school until completion. By the end of 2022, we could provide some school tuition support to thirty (30) girls in three (3) schools and set up kitchen gardens for two (2) schools. The school gardens will produce corn in January 2023 that the girls will use to get corn meals at school and sell the surplus to earn income to supplement their school needs. The direct tuition support we gave to 30 girls helped to supplement their school tuition needs and enabled them to complete the school year.
