This was a project designed and implemented by Kirindiro Communications to bridge the information gap in the 2020/21 Uganda election that was created by the ban on Public Rallies to control the spread of COVID-19. The project filmed the 41 candidates running for Mayor, Member of Parliament and District Chairperson in Kasese District and aired their interviews on the Kirindiro Communications social media channels to enable voters to hear from their candidates in the absence of public rallies and consequently make more informed electoral decisions. Many of the Candidates who participated in the project won elective office. The Current Minister for ICT in the Ugandan Government (2021), Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, was the first candidate whose interview was aired in the #KnowYourCandidate digital campaign.

This Project was made possible by funding from The Plekenpol family, and also with funding from Beatrice Biira. It was hosted at Rwenzori International Hotel, Kasese for the duration of November 2020 to January 2021.
